Dr Hannah Morgan is Lecturer in Disability Studies in the Department of Sociology and a member of the Centre for Disability Research (CeDR) at Lancaster University.
This seminar will explore some of the preliminary findings of a project which is investigating the relationship between substance abuse and sight loss. Hannah’s research interests are the impact of welfare reform on disabled people, disabled people’s experience of service models of support, partic-ularly social care and social work services, and the evolution of the disa-bled people’s movement. Her most recent publications include the edited collection Disability, Spaces and Places of Policy Exclusion (Soldatic, Morgan and Roulstone 2014) and ‘Working with Disabled People’ In Applying Research Evidence in Social Work Practice (Webber2014).
