The Health Experiences Research Group (led by Professor Sue Ziebland), within the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, is seeking two early career/postdoctoral qualitative researchers to join the internationally regarded HERG team. This excellent opportunity has arisen through funding for several new research projects; successful candidates will contribute to several qualitative studies run by senior members of HERG.

You will hold a PhD in a social science or possess equivalent research experience, have proven experience of qualitative research, preferably within a health care setting, with excellent interpersonal, analytic and communication skills.

The posts are available full-time, fixed-term for either 18 or 12 months (depending on project). Part-time working will be considered. Closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on Monday 22 June 2015. We plan to hold interviews in the week beginning 6 July 2015.

The Health Experiences Research Group, Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, University of Oxford is offering an opportunity for two highly motivated and enthusiastic people interested in a possible career in health research to join the team as research assistants for a fixed-term of 12 months. It is intended that the post will allow the postholders to gain an in-depth understanding of what is involved in qualitative research in the field of health and could form an invaluable first step in a career in this field.

The post will involve a range of tasks associated with qualitative research and the postholder will be provided with training to develop their research skills and experience. One of these posts will be the Ann McPherson Fellowship, which will be appointed to a junior researcher interested in developing a career in social science and health research, who can demonstrate a proven interest and enthusiasm for qualitative health research.

The posts are full-time for 1 year. The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on Friday 26 June 2015 and we plan to hold interviews on Thursday 23 July 2015.
