Post-Doctoral Research Associate (CfA, Durham University, 28 May 2015)

posted on March 20, 2025

This exciting opportunity involves working on “The Trust Map”, a project funded through the Empathy and Trust in Online Communication call recently administered by the Economic and Social Research Council in conjunction with the RCUK Connected Communities, Digital Economy and Partnership for Conflict, Crime and Security themes, and supported by the Defence Science and Technology Lab and the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure. Working with Dr Emma Flynn, this post will assist in the conducting of high-quality interdisciplinary research and play a central role as a team member.

The role will form part of “The Trust Map” research team based in the School of Education Durham University, which has been ranked as 5th in the recent REF2014. This post is one of two postdoctoral researchers (the other post is based at Aberdeen) sought to work on “The Trust Map” along with the multi-institutional research team based at Durham, Northumbria, and Newcastle. Research related to this post will be carried out within the main project field sites in Haringey, and also communities in County Durham.

Applications are particularly welcome from women and black and minority ethnic candidates, who are under-represented in academic posts in the University. For more details of the post click here.
