The Program Committee invites submission for abstracts for oral and poster presentations and for workshops or symposia on any aspect of the politics and ethics of infection. Papers are sought in the following streams:
- Surveillance
- Intensification and resistance
- Communication
- Migration and movement
- Research ethics
- Contexts: settings, communities, histories
Authors are invited to
- explore how economic, ecological, political, community-based and institutional contexts generate and structure the spread, and the control, of infectious diseases
- trace the meanings and social significance of disease
- the intersection of interests and concerns across the biological sciences, health services, health policy, government, culture and society and individuals
- share ideas with researchers from microbiology, virology, epidemiology, health economics, history, hospital management, health services research, bioethics, philosophy, sociology, psychology, veterinary science, cultural studies and communications
