Medical Humanities Writers needed (Call for reviewers/writers)

medhums-dailydoseThe medical humanities website Medhum Fiction | Daily Dose is a combined blog that promotes the medical humanities and intersections between self and story. Our mission is to promote authors (fiction and non-fiction) and share perspectives about narrative, medicine, history, anthropology and sociology across cultures and disciplines. We seek to engage those working at the intersection, intrepid souls adding to our shared knowledge of what it means to be human.

If you are interested in writing about the medical humanities, we want to hear from you! We regularly publish articles about the medical humanities from a number of different angles, including:

  • Current events
  • Interdisciplinarity
  • Pop culture
  • Sex and gender
  • Material culture
  • Methods
  • Teaching
  • The archives, the library, the museum

We welcome the work of independent scholars as well as MDs and PhDs; graduate students and undergraduates with strong writing skills are likewise encouraged to apply. Our medical humanities editor will follow up by email within ten business days. Applications should be submitted to our website.

Please note that MedHum Fiction | Daily Dose cannot pay for posts, but writers are given a byline and retain copyright and republication rights to all of their content.

Please contact the medical humanities editor Hanna Clutterbuck-Cook with any further questions.
