The Centre for Medical Humanities sends warm congratulations to Dr Simon Chaplin, who has been appointed as Director of Culture & Society. Dr Chaplin, who was previously the inspired Head of the Wellcome Library, succeeds Clare Matterson, who took on the new role of Director of Strategy earlier this month. Medical Humanities, alongside Engaging Science, Society and Ethics, and Research Resources, all sit within the Culture & Society Division at The Wellcome Trust. We much look forward to working with Dr Chaplin, and hope to be able to welcome him to our Centre in Durham at some point in the not too distant future.
