On Wednesday 21st March the School of Medicine and Health held its annual Postgraduate Research Conference. As well as being a celebration of the achievements of postgraduate students, the event was also a strong reminder of the heterogeneity of topics studied and of methods used by research teams within the School. It was fabulous to see three postgrads from the Centre for Medical Humanities make a dynamic and very valued contribution to the research day – Jan Pedersen, who gave the first formal presentation of his philosophical study of wonder and human flourishing; Frances Thirlway, who reported on her anthropological fieldwork; and Anni Raw, who presented on the final stages of PhD study of community arts in health. Congratulations to all of you!
