A Sense of Anatomy (Dance Theatre, November 29-30 2013, Gulbenkian Centre, University of Hull)

A Sense of Anatomy
November 29-30 2013
Gulbenkian Centre, University of Hull

This piece of dance-theatre explores what it means to possess, move and be a body. The work results from a collaboration between staff and students from the University of Hull, Hull York Medical School and the Northern School of Contemporary Dance.

The body is the fabric of self-experience. It is the substance by which we sense and feel. It is also an alien object made up of pulleys and levers, tissues and organs. It is both the most intimate aspect of self and the most distant.
