Professor Nancy Cartwright’s Inaugural Lecture is entitled “Deliberating Policy: Where morals and methods mix – and not always for the best”

It will take place at St Mary’s College, Durham University on Monday 28th October 2013 from 6pm to 7pm.

The lecture is free to attend and open to staff, students and members of the public.

  1. Dear Medical Humanities: Y9our addition of Nancy Cartwright to the University of Durham faculty is an intellectual coup. That Prof Cartwright is offering an inaugural lecture open to the public at large is a further achievement. To offer the live lecture on the web, or at least record and make the lecture available on the web would only be fitting and congruent with the goals of the Medical Humanities Website spirit. Certainly those of us in the U.S., or more remotely afield, should be similarly privileged as British residents.
